Microsurgery

Discipline objectives:

Students introduction to the basic microsurgical techniques appliabale both in the clinic and in the laboratory. Fundamentals in microscope and microsurgical instruments handling and manipulation. Learning basic dissection and anastomotic techniques on the chicken leg model.

Presenting relevant clinical information in witch various microsurgical situations are described.

Course

The courses are presented in powerpoint format, systematically structured and acoompaniated by suggestive and imagistics. (clinical and experimental images, schematics). The material is continuously adjusted with the most reccent information.

Laborator

Demonstrating the basic surgical techniques. Presenting the termino-terminal anastomosis of the aorta in the laboratory rat model. Handling of the operating microscope and microsurgical instruments. Learning the basic microsurgical dissection and anastomosis techniques in the chicken leg model.
